Bushfires Appeal & Assistance
There are many ways to help those who have been affected by the recent bushfires in Australia. We are raising funds to provide brand new books to young children in communities who have lost theirs or need new books for young children to assist with the relief effort.

As a registered charity we already provide brand new books of choice to young children in priority locations around Australia. We have worked with hundreds of primary schools and community centres over many years and in the 2019 financial year provided 45,601 books to 33,980 children in 149 locations around Australia.

For our Bushfires Appeal, for every $1 raised we can double it in RRP of books, so a $10 donation will become $20 worth of books. If you have the capacity to contribute you can do so here
If your community needs books for young children please contact us to discuss ways we can help.

We will only send brand new books,  and will only supply them when they are needed. This ensures these communities will have the books they need, at the appropriate time. We can also help raise funds to support these programs.
Getting new books into kids’ hands is, of course, only one of a number of ways to help communities recover. Listed below are just a few other organisations who are working to help those in need:

NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.
Port Macquarie Koala Hospital
The Australian Red Cross
Rural NSW Fireservice

Queensland Government Bushfire Appeal
