Return on Investment (ROI) remains one of the most challenging issues facing human resource development and performance improvement professionals today. This work demonstrates how effective ROI can be when applied to project management. It provides a brief introduction to the project management process, and an overview of the ROI measurement process. In almost every industry, employees are required to manage multiple projects, which have competing priorities, critical deadlines, and unexpected interruptions - making everyone a project manager in some fashion. Additionally, most employees feel that they are constantly juggling a number of key projects simultaneously. This work explains the methodology and application of return on investment to project management programmes, and provides tools to begin the process right away.
