Our top ten best-selling books this week 7 September edition

This week, our top five books were the same five books just in a different order, and our eighth and ninth best-selling books swapped positions.

Tenth remained the same (you go, Paula Hawkins), and the sixth and seventh best-selling books made their Dymocks top 10 debut.

In short, not much changed, but a young adult (or YA) book made its into out top ten for the first time since we've been writing this blog, books with words are pushing books with blank pictures down the top ten, and Paula Hawkins is still hanging on.

Our top ten best-selling books for the week ending Saturday 5 September were:

1.     Make Me by Lee Child
2.     The 65-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton
3.     The Girl in the Spider's Web by David Lagercrantz
4.     Enchanted Forest by Johanna Basford
5.     Secret Garden by Johanna Basford
6.     Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
7.     Everyday Super Food by Jamie Oliver
8.     Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee
9.     The Shepherd's Crown by Terry Pratchett
10.   The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

There has been at least one adult colouring book in our top three since we started writing this blog back in July. Oh, how time flies when writing about excellent books! This week, however, books with words began to reclaim their authority in our top ten. No matter if their characters are up to their fourth, fifth, or even twentieth outing, our top three authors are more popular than ever.

We're excited (some would even say super excited) to see Sarah J. Maas in our top ten with the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series, Queen of Shadows, reaching sixth spot in its first week of publication. Dymocks Sydney hosted a successful launch party last Tuesday night to celebrate the book's release.

Be on the lookout for these incredible standees that are making appearances in certain Dymocks stores around the country. We hear that some lovely stores are even allowing some of the standees to be adopted by customers once the promotional period is over.

Finally, we'd like to welcome King Jamie (of the Oliver variety) into our top ten this week. Recipes from his new book will make for a happier and healthier you, so get ready to feel better every day with this collection of nutritious yet delicious food. Let Jamie tell you more about his new book...
