Our top ten best-selling books this week 6 October edition

Wow, October, hey? That happened quickly!

If the realisation that it's already October is terrifying enough for you, look away while we tell you that Christmas is only a cool 79 days away. Happy Tuesday!

We had three new books enter the top ten list this week, two of which were written by Australian authors.

If you've been a regular follower of our top ten lists since this blog launched in July, you may also notice something missing from the list this week.

Our top twenty best-selling books for the week ending Saturday 3 October were:

1.     Secret Garden by Johanna Basford
2.     Enchanted Forest by Johanna Basford
3.     The 65-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton
4.     I Quit Sugar: Simplicious by Sarah Wilson
5.     Millie Marotta's Tropical Wonderland by Millie Marotta
6.     The Girl in the Spider's Web by David Lagercrantz
7.     Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom by Millie Marotta
8.     Make Me by Lee Child
9.     Grandpa's Great Escape by David Walliams
10.    Island Home by Tim Winton

Did you spot what's missing? After 31 incredible weeks, Paula Hawkins and her Girl on the Train have finally left the top ten station. We wonder which book will ever be able to beat such an impressive track record? As much as we hate to de-rail the pun show, there are other books to talk about. Bye for now, Paula!

We're welcoming Sarah Wilson and Tim Winton to our top ten this week. Sarah quit sugar, then she quit sugar for life, and now she's letting us know that a sugar-free lifestyle isn't just simple, it's simplicious! If you want to learn more about the anti-sugar movement in Australia, we wrote a blog post about it last week. We guarantee you'll be inspired to drop some of the white (or brown, or raw) stuff from your diet.

David Walliams is back with another blockbuster best-seller for kids! This time, David looks at the special bond between a boy and his beloved grandpa, and is sure to become a family favourite.

Tim Winton is no stranger to best-seller lists, but this is his first time in a top ten blog post. Discover more about Tim's new book in the video below.
