Our top ten best-selling books this week 27 June edition

The halfway point of 2016 is nearly upon us, and this will be our last top ten list in the first half of the year.

What a year in books it has been already!

2016 has, so far, been dominated by book to film adaptations and this trend shows no signs of slowing down. Four books in our top ten this week have been made into a film already, and yet only one of the films has been released so far.

Me Before You has been in cinemas for nearly two weeks, The BFG is being released this coming Thursday (check out the trailer here if you haven't seen it yet), and The Girl on the Train and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children are both still a few months away from hitting our screens.

There are still many more film adaptations of books coming to our screens before the end of the year, so who knows what the second half of 2016 holds for our top ten list. We also suspect our list will look very magical after 31 July, when arguably the biggest book of the year is released.

What has been your favourite book of 2016 so far? Leave us a comment and let us know!

Our top ten best-selling books for the week ending Saturday 25 June were:
