Our top ten best-selling books this week 22 August edition

J.K. Rowling is sitting pretty at the top of our best-sellers list for the third consecutive week following the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II.

The sixth instalment in Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton's best-selling Treehouse series came close to knocking Harry off the top spot, but we suppose the authors will just have to settle for having written the fastest-selling Australian book of all time.

(Don't believe us? Check out the graph at the bottom of this post!)

Which debut author has jumped into our top ten less than a week after her book was published? Keep reading to find out!

Our top ten best-selling books for the week ending Saturday 20 August were:

1.     Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II
2.     The 78-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton
3.     Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
4.     Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
5.     The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
6.     Three Sisters, Three Queens by Philippa Gregory
7.     The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer
8.     The Black Widow by Daniel Silva
9.     Halliday Wine Companion 2017 by James Halliday
10.   After You by Jojo Moyes

The debut author we are referring to is of course Amy Schumer, who has launched into our top ten after her book The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo was on sale for only four days!

Can she topple J.K. Rowling? You'll have to come back next Monday to find out.
