Liz Byrski is the author of seven novels and a number of non-fiction books, the latest of which is Getting On: Some Thoughts on Women and Ageing.
She has worked as a freelance journalist, a broadcaster with ABC Radio and an advisor to a minister in the West Australian Government.
Liz has a PhD in writing from Curtin University where she teaches professional and creative writing.

Join us on the evening of 30th April for a special after hours event with Liz Byrski for a chat about her new book In Love and War a memoir. The event will run from 6:30 to 7:30pm and books will be available to purchase on the evening.
The cost is $3 payable at the door and this includes wine and cheese.

Liz Bryski’s latest novel, In Love and War, recounts her memories growing up in a small town in Sussex following the Battle of Britain, and how in her late sixties, she returned to speak with survivors and the nurses who played a vital role in their treatment.
In conversation with The West Australian’s Book Editor, William Yeoman, Liz will discuss her latest book and other bestselling novels.
Following the discussion, there will be a Q&A with the audience, as well as book sales and book signing. Light refreshments will also be served.
