Kim was born in Stanthorpe but raised in Mundubbera. Kim graduated with a Bachelor of International Finance from Griffith University. She trained with MLC as a Financial Planner, completing her Diploma in Financial Planning from Deakin University. Kim’s natural ease with people and relaxed confidence served her well as a successful financial adviser and later as the Queensland State Manager of MLC Private Client Services. Kim worked for 7 years in the finance industry before resigning to spend the time raising her beautiful boys.
It was during this phase of her life that 4 Ingredients came into being. Today, 4 Ingredients is her PASSION. It is the sheer joy of learning new things about food, recipes and kitchen wisdom that drives Kim to create, share, write.
Kim was recently named ‘Outstanding Business Woman of the Year – 2011′ at the SCBWN Awards and in her acceptance speech said “I run a global business with a local focus, I believe in sharing success locally… and of more than 4.5 million books published, all but 52,000 have been printed in Australia. It is a gift to do something you love, with people you love. And it is with my genuine passion and this award that, I will tell women here on the Sunshine Coast and beyond, ordinary women just like me, that opportunity abounds everywhere, that success is there for ANYONE that has the vision and the drive to embrace it.”
Without a sliver of doubt however, the most rewarding of everything accomplished to date has been the birth of her three beautiful boys Morgan 9, Hamilton 6 and Flynn 3. For Kim family, which is completed by her wonderful husband Glen, is THE MOST IMPORTANT and carries the greatest priority of all she does.
Life presents many opportunities, but having the courage to pursue them, in what is an ever increasingly busy and demanding world, is hard. But Kim is living proof that you can achieve whatever you want in life with exactly that … Hard work!
