Alice Zaslavsky, author. (Author categories: Local Australian, Celebrity Chef)

Alice Zaslavsky

Alice ‘in Frames’ Zaslavsky makes food fun. A former Middle School teacher and head of department at a top Melbourne school, she traded chalk and talk for talk and stir in 2012, competing in MasterChef Australia Series 4.

Alice now brings her message of edible adventure and positive engagement through food to people (especially little people) across the country with her writing and performing. She is the host of Kitchen Whiz, a food knowledge quiz show for kids 8+ on the Nine Network (Channel Go). She is also the face of Melbourne’s iconic Prahran Market and official ‘Adventurer-in-Residence’, providing weekly foodie content and appearing regularly on stage as compere and ringmaster of the market’s Chef Challenges. She spends much of her free time in her own kitchen, whipping up treats for family, friends and her Rhodesian Ridgeback fur-child Leopold Tolstoy. Alice’s Food A-Z is her first book.
