Online Orders
PURCHASING ONLINE
To purchase online please follow these steps.
Before proceeding please have your 16 digit Booklover number and Booklover password handy. If you cannot remember your Booklover password use the forgot Booklover password link.
Step 1:
Select the products you wish you purchase by clicking the 'Add to Cart' button.
Step 2:
When you have selected everything you wish to purchase click the 'Checkout' button.
Step 3:
Under 'Create a New Account', enter your preferred email address and click on 'Create Account'. You can nominate to use the same email address as your Booklover account email address. (Show me a screen shot of Step 3)
Please note: If you get an error message "An online account is already set up for this email address, you do not need to create a new account. Please proceed to sign in" this means you have already set up an Online Account. To proceed simply 'Sign In' using the Online Account email address and password. If you cannot remember your Online Account password use the forgot Online Account password link.
Step 4:
On the 'Create Sign In' page enter your Email Address & password, then press Continue. Again you can nominate to use the same email address and password as your Booklover account. (Show me a screen shot of Step 4)
Step 5:
Proceed through 'Ship To' and 'Delivery Options' page, when you arrive at 'Bill To' page simply provide your 16 digit Booklover card number. You will be asked to provide the Booklover account password if your Booklover email address is different to your Online Account. (Show me a screen shot of Step 5)
Step 6:
You have completed the process! Your Online Account is now linked to your Booklover account. You can purchase online, earn and redeem your Booklover reward points.

At present, orders placed with Dymocks Online may not be collected from Dymocks stores. If you would like to purchase an item you have found on Dymocks Online from a Dymocks store, please contact that store and place an order directly. All stores' contact details are available in our Store Locator.
Please note that prices and stock availability may vary between www.dymocks.com.au and Dymocks Stores. All Prices in Australian Dollars.
PROMOTIONS
- 1. Browse the site and select your purchases as normal.
- 2. Go to the shopping cart page and enter the promotional code (eg,VIPFSJ) in the shopping cart's promotional codes field. Click the "Activiate Code" button.
- 3. The discount will then be applied and you will notice the total has been reduced to reflect the offer.

3 for 2 Promotions
- Choose 3 books from the selected range and the lowest priced item is FREE.
- The saving is shown as a Promotional Discount.
- If you cancel one of the items included in this promotion after the order has been placed you will not be eligible for the discount.
- Payment is taken when the items are ready to ship from our designated fulfilment lcoation.
- You can select as many books as you wish to qualify more than once for the promotion. Therefore, if you order 6 items you will be discounted for 2 books from the order (lowest value).
%OFF Offers
- From time to time we run offers with a saving off the RRP. For e.g. 20%
- The items advertised on the website will show the reduced price in RED if we are running a % OFF Promotion.
- Payment is taken when the items are ready to ship.
Free Shipping Offers
- Free Shipping Offers will be limited to Australia Post Standard Delivery or as advertised.
- Free Shipping is limited to deliveries made within Australia Only.
- Free Shipping Offers will have a specific timeframe as per the offer.
- A valid start and finish date will be advertised. All items will be consolidated and shipped together unless we advise otherwise via email and/or decide to override the consolidation process.
Christmas Special Offers
- As per the advertised promotion. While stocks last.
- Offer valid between 1/12/10 – 24/12/10. Offer valid only on Dymocks Online with Promotional code
Promotional Codes Entered at Checkout:
- Offer valid only when shopping on Dymocks Online when the Promotional code is entered at the checkout.
- Promotional Code must be entered as it appears advertised.
- Valid dates for promotions are as advertised.
- % off promotions apply to publishers recommended retail price on selected items.
- Only 1 Promotional Code can be used per order, cannot to be used with any other offer.
SEARCH ENGINE
With our new state of the art search engine, you can now search the products on our entire website by simply typing in a keyword. A keyword can be a title of a book, an author, a specific ISBN or a subject. The search engine will then look through our product catalogue and display the results that are relevant to the keyword that you were searching for.
To search for products is very simple. Just position your cursor on the search bar and type in your search keyword or keywords and hit the enter key. There are many ways of searching for products:
- If you know the title of the book or parts of it, then type it in the search..e.g. Harry Potter.
- If you want to look for an author, then type in the authors name or parts of it. e.g. Bryce Courtenay or Bryce C.
- If you want to search for a subject, then type the subject into the search box.
The most relevant results for the keyword you searched for will be displayed on the page. On the left of the screen, you can further narrow your search by choosing a category, book format, price..etc.
ITEM AVAILABILITY
You will notice that each product has a "Usually Ships In" estimate. There are three types:
Usually Ships in 24 Hours
In stock at our warehouse.
Usually Ships in 4 Days
Order placed with supplier, estimated arrival time to warehouse is 4 days.
Usually Ships in 5-21 Days
Order placed with supplier, estimated arrival time to warehouse is 5-21days.
Status email will advise up to date arrival date once ordered with supplier.
Usually Ships in Minutes
Digital downloads only
These are time frames when you can expect your items to ship from our warehouse ("Usually Ships In"). Please note that delays do occur and these are mainly due to circumstances beyond our control for e.g. delayed deliveries from suppliers or items just arrived in our warehouse.
For more information about when your order is due to arrive at our warehouse ready for dispatch to you ("Due Date") please refer to the confirmation emails that you will receive from us. If you order multiple items and they are not all in stock, we will advise you of their anticipated arrival times. For items not readily available, we'll provide ongoing estimated ship and delivery time frames. All our estimates are based on business days and assume that shipping and delivery don't occur on holidays and weekends.
Alternate Editions
If the item that you have order is unavailable, we may offer to supply an alternate edition of the title. If you have selected to be sent an Alternate Edition, we will match your original item to a similar item in stock. The title and author will generally remain the same as will the Format (Paperback / Hardcover). The main differences will be the following:
- Old edition ordered, where a new edition is available
- Different image on the cover
- Different ISBN
- Revised and Updated Edition - Could mean a minor change to the title of the book however the information inside the book will either be the same or updated.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
You can find out the availability of an item at your nearest store on our website. Just locate the item that you would like to check and enter your postcode. You will then be presented with all nearby stores with available stock.

GIFT WRAPPING
Dymocks Online offers Gift Wrapping. You are able to select the Gift Wrap Option at Step 3 (delivery method page) of the ordering process. Dymocks Online charges $5.00 per order for Gift Wrapping. We will professionally wrap the item/s of the order for you. You will also be given the option to include a message for the recipient.
Please note we will not consolidate a Gift Order, as we understand the order may be for a special event and will need to reach its destination quickly.
We may however split the delivery of the order as some items may be available immediately for dispatch and other items may need to be ordered from the supplier. Please note you will not incur further Gift Wrap costs.
