Dymocks July/August 2008 Booklover Promotion Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia who are registered members of Dymocks Booklover Loyalty Program or to new members joining the Booklover Loyalty Program either online at the Dymocks website or instore on the Booklover Join Now Form during July and August 2008. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. (a) To win the Major Prize, registered members of the Booklover Loyalty Program must update their email address details on the Dymocks Booklover website (www.dymocks.com.au/booklover) and opt-in receive email communication from Dymocks. New members joining instore must complete their correct and current email address details on the join form. New members joining online at the Dymocks website must complete their correct and current email address details and opt-in to receive email communication from Dymocks.
(b) To win the Minor Prizes, registered members of the Booklover loyalty Program must shop during the promotional period and have their Booklover Loyalty Program membership card scanned at the time of purchase.
4. Registered Members of the Dymocks Booklover Loyalty Program who purchase online at the Dymocks website www.dymocks.com.au during the promotional period will be entered into the minor draw if their purchases are paid for in full before the promotional closes on 11:59pm AEDST on 31/08/2008
5. The promotional period for the July/August Booklover prizes commences at [00.01] [EST] on July 1st 2008 and closes at [23.59] [EST] on Sunday 31st August 2008 (“Promotional Period”).
6. The draw will take place at 145 Darling Street, Balmain, NSW 2041 on Thursday 17 October 2008 at 12pm AEST.
7. Prizes consist of:
MAJOR PRIZE
2 x return economy airfares to Langkawi International Airport from the winner’s nearest capital city; 4Days/3 Nights accommodation in the Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi in the Bayu Suria room including all meals and non-alcoholic beverages at the resort restaurants and bars. Consumption from mini bar items (excluding alcoholic items and mosquito repellents), two way Jaguar transfer from Langkawi International Airport, Tanjung Rhu Cook Book, 10% discount on the spa treatment, 10% discount for a Romantic BBQ dinner on the beach.
All airport taxes, fuel surcharges and other charges are the responsibility of the prize winner. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Any Frequent Flyer miles will not be applicable and baggage allowance is 20kg per person. Ticket is valid for travel 1 November 2008 to 31 October 2009. Travel is not valid during peak periods (December/January and Easter Holidays). All travel is subject to availability. Accommodation is subject to availability and black-out periods may apply. Date of validity cannot be extended. Gift Certificates for the accommodation must be presented upon arrival and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Flights and accommodation must be requested at least 28 days prior to travel date. The promoters shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffering or sustained in connection with the prize offered except for liability which cannot be excluded by law. All surveys submitted become the property of the promoters. The promoters accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail or for any prize damaged in transit.
The accommodation package does not include consumption of alcoholic beverages, takeaways, and special dinner arrangements (e.g.: BBQ, Steamboat, Picnic basket etc.). All incidentals expenses items are at prizewinners own expense.

8. All eligible prize winners will be contacted by telephone, by mail and their name will be published in The Australian on 24/10/08. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The first valid entries drawn will receive the prize.
9. If a winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to winner’s parent or guardian.
10. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
11. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various lottery authorities.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
14. Before the prize is awarded, the winner [and any other person(s) sharing the prize with the winner] may be required to sign an agreement to release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against any liability arising from the use or participation in the prize.
15. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
16. Details from entries will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, including local lottery authorities, for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant. Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information and obtain a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy by contacting the Promoter on (02) 9224 0424 during office hours.
17. The Promoter may conduct such further draws at the same place and time as the original draw as are necessary on 22/01/09 in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by that date, subject however to any written directions given under Reg 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA). In the event of a winner, their name will be published in The Australian on 26/01/09.
