To purchase online please follow these steps.
Before proceeding please have your 16 digit Booklover number and Booklover password handy. If you cannot remember your Booklover password use the forgot Booklover password link.
Select the products you wish you purchase by clicking the ‘Add to Cart’ button.
When you have selected everything you wish to purchase click the ‘Checkout’ button.
Under 'Create a New Account', enter your preferred email address and click on 'Create Account'. You can nominate to use the same email address as your Booklover account email address. (Show me a screen shot of Step 3)
Please note: If you get an error message "An online account is already set up for this email address, you do not need to create a new account. Please proceed to sign in" this means you have already set up an Online Account. To proceed simply 'Sign In' using the Online Account email address and password. If you cannot remember your Online Account password use the forgot Online Account password link.
On the 'Create Sign In' page enter your Email Address & password, then press Continue. Again you can nominate to use the same email address and password as your Booklover account. (Show me a screen shot of Step 4)
Proceed through ‘Ship To’ and ‘Delivery Options’ page, when you arrive at ‘Bill To’ page simply provide your 16 digit Booklover card number. You will be asked to provide the Booklover account password if your Booklover email address is different to your Online Account. (Show me a screen shot of Step 5)
You have completed the process! Your Online Account is now linked to your Booklover account. You can purchase online, earn and redeem your Booklover reward points.

A brief explanation of the order status that we use:
QUEUE: is the initial status of all new order placed with us. It means your order was received and is currently waiting to be processed.
PICK, RE_PICK: means that the order is being processed and is currently being picked from the shelf, provided it is in stock.
BACKORDER, TO_BACKORDER , ONORDER, ONORDER_BT, ONORDER_TP: means that the item is out of stock but has been placed on backorder with our suppliers. A due date will show below this status.
ON HOLD: This means that the item is on hold awaiting payment, or other items in the order - it might also mean we are waiting for a response from you and we advise you to check recent emails for communication from us.
CANCELLED: Means that the item has been cancelled from your order and will not be supplied. This cancellation can have been requested by you or it could be because the item is out of stock indefinitely.
INVOICE: indicates that the payment has been processed, and an invoice has been created.
PACKED: means the item has been packed and is on board for despatch.

You will notice that each product has a "Usually Ships In" estimate. There are three types:
Usually Ships in 24 Hours
In stock at our warehouse.
Usually Ships in 4 Days
Order placed with supplier, estimated arrival time to warehouse is 4 days.
Usually Ships in 5-21 Days
Order placed with supplier, estimated arrival time to warehouse is 5-21days.
Status email will advise up to date arrival date once ordered with supplier.

These are time frames when you can expect your items to ship from our warehouse ("Usually Ships In"). Please note that delays do occur and these are mainly due to circumstances beyond our control for e.g. delayed deliveries from suppliers or items just arrived in our warehouse.
For more information about when your order is due to arrive at our warehouse ready for dispatch to you ("Due Date") please refer to the confirmation emails that you will receive from us. If you order multiple items and they are not all in stock, we will advise you of their anticipated arrival times. For items not readily available, we'll provide ongoing estimated ship and delivery time frames. All our estimates are based on business days and assume that shipping and delivery don't occur on holidays and weekends.I have chosen express post - when will I receive it?
Australian Air Express is a Next Day Courier Service. They will deliver the next day based on when the order was dispatched from our Warehouse. This service does not override the status timeframe “usually ships in”. To clarify this Delivery Service, if both Australia Post and Australian Air Express picked up an order at the same time going from Sydney to Melbourne, Australian Air Express would deliver in 24 hours as apposed to 48-72 hours by Australia Post. You are also able to track your order once it has been dispatched from our warehouse.I have selected to be sent an Alternate Edition if my original item is out of stock, what is the difference?
If you have selected to be sent an Alternate Edition, we will match your original item to a similar item in stock. The title and author will generally remain the same as will the Format (Paperback / Hardcover). The main differences will be the following:
- Old edition ordered, where a new edition is available
- Different image on the cover
- Different ISBN
- Revised and Updated Edition – Could mean a minor change to the title of the book however the information inside the book will either be the same or updated.
Should you wish to cancel your order, please go to the below link and send us an email. If an order is yet to be invoiced than it can be stopped prior to leaving our warehouse. However, if the status of the item is in invoice, packed or shipped this becomes more difficult to stop. We will advise you of the status of your order during our correspondence. Please note that you will incur the return costs if your order does fall in one of the above status’s and cannot be stopped.

At Dymocks we will happily exchange or refund, within 60 days of the date of purchase, provided the goods are in original condition, accompanied by proof of purchase from any Dymocks bookstore and do not fall within the special exceptions* below.

We do not charge your credit card until your order is ready to be sent to you, and we automatically delete your credit card details when your order is complete, so we hold your details for the shortest possible time.
Gift Vouchers & Gift Cards
We accept Dymocks Gift Cards as payment for Dymocks Online orders. During the checkout process simply choose to pay with a gift card. You will also be required to enter Credit Card Details on the payment page even if the total value of your order is covered by the gift card. In the instance that the gift card failed or did not have sufficient funds, we will than charge your credit card. We can not issue refunds if your order value is less than your gift voucher value. Paying with Multiple Gift CardsYou can use a maximum 2 gift cards when placing orders via the Dymocks Website. Both gift cards entered will also require the full expiry date to be entered. The full expiry date must include day, month, and year. If part of the date is missing or the Gift Card is not registering, you can contact the Gift Card Help Line located on the back of the Dymocks Gift Card. Please be sure to ask the staff member for the full expiry date. This will ensure you have all the relevant and correct details needed to proceed with your order. Note: Do not discard your Gift Cards until your order has been completed and received.What happens if my order is cancelled?
Dymocks Online will take all measures to fulfil your order. If the items you ordered are not available in our warehouse, we will attempt to order from the supplier. We have suppliers based locally, interstate and internationally. If we cancel the item from your order, as the supplier was out of stock, item is out of print or for any other reason based on not being able to supply the title/s we will inform you via email. We will NOT charge you as we only take payment upon delivery of your order.I have input the wrong address, what can be done?
Dymocks Online will do their best to ensure the information you have input is accurate. We cannot guarantee that you order will arrive at its destination if you have not provided correct details and as much information as possible to assist the couriers when delivering e.g. company name, level, suite etc If your order has not yet been shipped you will need to send Dymocks Online an email advising the error and change in details. If the item has not left our warehouse we can certainly help in amending this information. However, if the couriers have picked the orders than we cannot guarantee a change in shipping details. Unfortunately, you will be liable for any costs incurred in return to sender parcels if the information you provided was inaccurate.Can I pick up my order from my local store?

With our new state of the art search engine, you can now search the products on our entire website by simply typing in a keyword. A keyword can be a title of a book, an author, a specific ISBN or a subject. The search engine will then look through our product catalogue and display the results that are relevant to the keyword that you were searching for.
To search for products is very simple. Just position your cursor on the search bar and type in your search keyword or keywords and hit the enter key. There are many ways of searching for products:
- If you know the title of the book or parts of it, then type it in the search..e.g. Harry Potter.
- If you want to look for an author, then type in the authors name or parts of it. e.g. Bryce Courtenay or Bryce C.
- If you want to search for a subject, then type the subject into the search box.
The most relevant results for the keyword you searched for will be displayed on the page. On the left of the screen, you can further narrow your search by choosing a category, book format, price..etc.What are virtual store pages?
You will notice that in the top menu we are grouping some products together to make it easier for you to browse our catalogue.
